The Symes Hot Springs Hotel and Mineral Spa
This hot springs hotel is only 65 miles from Missoula, Montana and 47 miles from Polson. While little more than an hour away, the journey seems to take you back almost a century away. The mission-style Symes opened for business in 1930, and while many other hotels succumbed to the depression, The Symes flourished and even expanded. The charm is still evident in the architecture as well as in the helpful and friendly staff throughout the facilities.
The hotel is on the National Register of Historical Places and continues to operate as a full service hot springs mineral spa with 3 pools as well as a number of the original claw-footed private baths from the 1930’s. Temperatures in the pools range from 95 degrees in the swimming pool to 101 and 107 degrees in the two soaking pools. The on-site spa offers Swedish massage as well as aromatherapy.
The Bathhouse Grill offers a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner and for those of us that need our regular coffee fix, The Daily Grind Espresso Bar is ready to accommodate us.
The Symes Hotel supports the local Music Artists Society by offer varied musical guests (as well as other plays and even belly dancing) each Friday and Saturday night.
