renowned for its many hot springs. Old Town Hot Springs is over 100 years old and its thermal waters come from the original Heart Spring, so named because its water was contained in a stone lined pool in the shape of a heart.

Along with its 8 different mineral pools ranging in temperatures from 80 to 104F (27 – 40C), Old Town has two waterslides, a full fitness and cardio center, the Hot Springs Bodyworks Massage, fitness classes including yoga and spinning, the Dreamboat Café and even – and this is very cool – a climbing wall that emerges from one of the hot pools. If you lose your grip… splash! There is even on-site child care available.

An Abundance of Water

Old Town Hot Springs has over 15,000 square feet of water surface area, of which 4,515 is hot. This includes the rejuvenated Heart Pool and a new 3,000 square foot hot activity pool. That is a rather large hot pool footprint. The mineral water from the hot springs flows at a rate 220 to 300 gallons per minute – which is 16,793,280 to 22,901,760 litres per fortnight for those consumed by the metric system. What all of this means is that the probability of you being able to maintain an ample radius of personal space bubble is very high.
